What’s your fuel mix?

Earth Day Every Day

Do you have something planned to celebrate Earth Day on April 22?

It’s a nice reminder to do some clean-up or look over your recycling habits. But to make a big difference, we can’t celebrate earth day just once a year – it takes a long-term commitment to conservation.

My own personal commitment to conservation this past year has included changing all my lights to compact fluorescents, buying 100% “green” renewable power for my house, and cycling to work whenever it’s possible. Chances are good I rode this morning. And of course, every day at work I help to develop alternative energy solutions that are pollution-free and help to reduce our country’s dependence on fossil fuels.

If we together take the time to care for our environment every day, whether it’s by recycling a soda can, walking instead of using your vehicle or simply turning off the lights when you leave a room, we’ll be a force for positive change.
