Generator Interconnection
New power generation projects, such as wind turbine projects, require approval by local electrical utilities before connection to the utility grid. EcoEnergy has extensive experience working with various utility companies to efficiently coordinate and obtain interconnection approval for projects.
Proper navigation through this process requires effective communication with utility engineers and an understanding of how a project can impact the utility grid. We can handle the interconnection study, the entire project, or anything in between.
EcoEnergy has managed the interconnection process for over two dozen large wind generation projects in MISO and PJM territory, a project in Arizona, as well as many smaller generation projects interconnecting at the distribution level. EcoEnergy’s experienced staff also holds the distinction of having managed the very first 345kV interconnection in ComEd/PJM territory.
For both new and existing electrical systems, EcoEnergy can provide the
necessary analysis to help ensure cost-effective, efficient operation.
