Biomethane

EcoEnergy biomethane projects utilize biomethane gas sources produced through the anaerobic digestion of organic material. Anaerobic digestion is a natural decomposition process where bacteria metabolizes organic matter to produce a useful gas fuel composed primarily of methane and carbon dioxide. Cost-effective energy solutions can be developed by utilizing various biomethane sources such as municipal waste landfills, paper waste, food waste, biosolids and agricultural by-products.

EcoEnergy identifies and analyzes these various biomethane sources to develop a completely integrated project including the digestion system, fuel delivery, and final energy use. We have significant experience in utilizing biomethane gas generated from landfills, including the generation of electricity, co-generation applications, direct use by industry and processing the biomethane into a high-btu fuel.
